We are 100% dependant on volunteers to help run our program.

We simply cannot sustain a quality program of this size without you.  For more information about any of the roles please email us at @gmail.com.  Planning for the winter and spring programming begins now so we look forward to hearing from you soon and welcoming new members to our team! Board members (President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer) are expected to attend the annual board meeting in September and a minimum of three additional board meetings.

President
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the corporation. He or She shall have general supervision of the affairs of the corporation and have full power to do all things inherent to the office and incident thereto. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors, shall be Chairperson of the Board of Directors and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees of the Board.

Vice-President
 In the absence or the disability of the President, the Vice President shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.  He/she is responsible for the coordination of youth team schedules and scheduling of New Milford fields for practices and games.

Secretary
The Secretary of the corporation shall keep accurate records in books provided for that purpose of all proceedings of the corporation including the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors; shall cause notices to be given of all meetings of the corporation and the Board of Directors as required by the Bylaws; shall keep the seal of the corporation and affix and attest the same to any instrument requiring it and perform such other duties as may be required of the Secretary by custom, the Board of Directors or the Bylaws.

Treasurer
The Treasurer shall have the care and custody of funds of the corporation and shall have and exercise under the supervision  of the Board of Directors all of the powers and duties commonly incident to the office. The Treasurer shall be a member of the Board of Directors. He or she may be required by the Board of Directors to give bond  in such sum and deposit or cause to be deposited all the funds of the corporation in such depositories as the Board of Directors may from time to time designate. He or she shall keep or cause to be kept accurate books of account of all corporation transactions, which books shall be the property of the corporation, and together with all other if its property in his or her possession, shall be subject at all times to the inspection and control of the Board of Directors. The accounts shall be audited annually in such manner as the Board of Directors may direct, from time to time.

Boys Coordinator & Girls Coordinator
The Boys & Girls Coordinators are responsible for the management and coordination of all aspects of the on-field lacrosse program in accordance of the goals and philosophies as determined by the Board. Coordinators are in charge of assigning players and  coaches to teams. They ensure coaches have the proper credentials and receive the necessary training. The Coordinator is the primary liaison between the Board, parents, and coaches. He/she will also be responsible for uniform ordering and management. The Coordinator is also in charge of player development and recruitment.

Registrar
The Registrar will be responsible for managing all aspects of registration, including by not limited to obtaining facilities, preparation and organization of registration materials, management of volunteers, data entry of all registration information and collection of registration funds to be turned over to Treasurer.  He/she will also perform the following duties:

      Maintain an up-to-date master list of contact information for every member or player.
·      Forward a copy of the master list to the Communications Coordinator along with (weekly) updates during season and (monthly) updates if any during off-season.
·      Forward and distribute all contact information to each of the Team Administrators along with (weekly) updates during season and (monthly) updates if any during off-season.
·     ·Handle all requests for refunds, remove players from the master list and provide the Treasurer with a complete list of approved refunds.


Boys and Girls Representative for CONNY (Conn-NY Youth Lacrosse Association)
In order to maintain a program in good standing, New Milford Youth Lacrosse is required to attend annual, regular, and special CONNY meetings:

    Annual Meeting: The annual meeting of CONNY each year shall be the January meeting of the Board of Directors, held at such time and place as the Board of Directors may determine. At least seven (7) days before the date of the annual meeting, the Secretary shall send notice of the time and place of the meeting to the designated representative of every member in good standing at his or her address as it appears in the CONNY membership roll book.
    Regular Meetings: Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held each month from January through May and in the Fall in either October, November; or December (the Fall Meeting), at such time and place as the Board of Directors may determine. For the purposes of this Bylaw, meetings of either the Girls Division or the Boys Division may qualify as a regular meeting of the Board of Directors. At least seven (7) days before the date of a regular meeting, the Secretary shall send notice of the time and place of the meeting to the designated representative of every member in good standing at his or her address as it appears in the CONNY membership roll book.
    Special Meetings: Special meetings of the full Board of Directors, the Girls Division, or the Boys Division may be called by the President when he or she deems it in the best interest of the organization. In addition, at the request of at least two (2) members of the Executive Committee or one third (1/3) of the members of the Board of Directors, the President shall call a special meeting. At least seven (7) days before the date of a special meeting, the Secretary shall send notice of the time and place of the meeting to the designated representative of every member in good standing at his or her address as it appears in the CONNY membership roll book.
   Quorum: The presence or representation by proxy of not less than forty (40%) percent of the members shall constitute a quorum and shall be necessary to conduct the business of this organization. A meeting in which there is no quorum may be adjourned for a period of not more than three (3) weeks from the date scheduled and the secretary shall cause a notice of this scheduled meeting to be sent to all those members who were not present at the meeting originally called. A quorum as hereinbefore set forth shall be required at any adjourned meeting.
  Attendance: Regular meetings and special meetings may be attended either in person, by conference call, or by use of another appropriate electronic conference capability. The conference call and electronic conference options do not apply to the Annual Meeting and the Fall Meeting.

 

Referee Coordinators

1 for Boys Program & 1 for Girls Program

Responsibilities include initial referee scheduling and key contact for Team Manager and Coaches to contact to help with any scheduling changes, problems, etc.

Time Commitment “ more time will be needed at the start of season to help with the initial scheduling.  During the season, the Ref Coordinators need to be available for scheduling issues that arise during season.

Equipment Managers

1 for Boys Program & 1 for Girls Program

Responsibilities include helping with existing equipment inventory, distribution of equipment to various coaches and collecting of equipment at the end of the season.

Time Commitment “ more time needed before and at the start of the season then again at the end of the season.

Team Managers (Moms or Dads)

1 for each team, boys and girls programs

Responsibilities include helping your child′s coach with the various team administrative and communication needs.  Examples include: coordinating and communicating schedule changes as needed, confirming and reporting on referees to the Ref Coordinator, coordinating other team parent volunteers as needed for game stats, pictures and other material for the PR Coordinator.   Access of the NMYL website will be provided to help with facilitating team and league communication.

Time Commitment “ significant time is needed to help partner with the coach to ensure your child′s team is well organized.
